Database Administrator-SQL Server-16000PF

As a leading worldwide provider of navigation devices and wearable technology, our focus is on developing, designing and supporting superior products. Our advanced technology promotes performance, safety and ease of use in every market we serve. That makes us an engineering and technology company with a keen focus on recruiting talent in those fields. But the same vertical integration business model that keeps all design and manufacturing processes in-house also gives us the incentive to hire top performers from different backgrounds, including operations, finance and accounting, information technology, sales, marketing and communications.

Our expanding IT team is looking for a detail-oriented database administrator to be responsible for efficiently managing technology through the use of tools and scripting, including organizing, leading, and coordinating the other parts of IT to ensure components of overall systems are managed. Our SQL database administrator also analyzes existing systems and recommends improvements. If you enjoy developing requirements, critically evaluating information and collaborating with others, then we may have a desk for you.  The database you would be working on hosts all the files/data from our wearable's- it is the center of the wearable Universe- 140 Terabytes!  A lot of our systems are automated so you will get the chance to figure out really cool stuff.

We are looking for a full time SQL database administrator to configure and administer SQL database servers at our headquarters in Olathe, Kansas.
